The Poem of the Day Is Gone

Yesterday was the last poem of the day that I am posting. The many reasons and strong feelings I have for it faded.
It's funny: I am scared. It was my touchstone. It was my routine. It was my daily workout. But now after nearly 5 years, it is over in its online incarnation*.
I love you and good night.
PS This doesn't mean I am not writing. It just means I'm not giving it away anymore.
*I put them on my rewritingovid.com website before moving to livejournal.

I will continue posting nearly everything I write, myself. I still believe mightily in the attempt to break the hold of the copyright machine, and I still believe that the more people see my work, the more likely I'll be asked to publish them in other places. I haven't seen any level of shift in how much of my work is published or rejected as a result of doing this.
It's all about exposure to me...but that's me, and I don't even know if that's why you're doing this. But if it is, I respect that choice.

It's definitely not about the copyright machine. I think the ease of self-publication and duplication might bring down that monster all by itself.
I got published pretty well by doing this too, though mine were always locked.
If you're interested, my posting poems was:
1. I like to make poetry an everyday thing for readers as well as writers. You might be surprised, but this was one of my top reasons.
2. It kept me disciplined. I don't have that problem really.
3. It kept me going with some attention. But the silence gets deafening at times.
4. It was my work out.
